Boulder Voices for Children trains court appointed special advocates (CASAs) to guide and assist children who have suffered trauma, neglect, and abuse as they navigate thru the justice and welfare systems. These advocates often devote years to a child or children so that they have a voice and are protected. Our gift of $11,400 was matched by the Schulz Family Foundation grant of $5,000.



YMCA of NORTHERN COLORADO —
Child Care Program

The YMCA of Northern Colorado provided free child care for our essential workers who otherwise could not have gone to work and kept our community going. The YMCA child care program was ramped up and open on the third day after the mandated Stay At Home orders were put in place and they stayed open every single day since! Our gift of $11,025 was matched by the Schulz Family Foundation Grant of $5,000.



RISE AGAINST SUICIDE

Rise Against Suicide is an invaluable resource for adolescents and youth who are at risk of suicide. This organization matches these at-risk youth with licensed therapists, removing financial and social barriers to getting treatment. During Covid, the need for their services has skyrocketed with many teens needing counseling and therapy.




SISTER CARMEN COMMUNITY CENTER & FOOD BANK

2020 — Quarter 3
Sister Carmen Community Center helps Boulder County residents who are struggling with food insecurity through their food bank. They also provide valuable mortgage, rent, and utility assistance to families struggling to keep a roof over their heads. During Covid the demands on the food bank and financial needs' services doubled. Our gift of $16,500 was matched by the Schulz Family Foundation Grant of $5,000.




CIRCLE OF CARE

Circle of Care connects homebound seniors and adults with disabilities with opportunities to experience cultural, educational, and social activities via an army of volunteers. Social isolation of elders during Covid was acute and the volunteers of this organization helped many seniors avoid depression and social isolation. Our gift of $15,100 was matched by the Schulz Family Foundation Grant of $5,000..
